30 Day NBA Challenge Day #1-LA Lakers

So it's day 1 of the 30 day challenge. The Los Angeles Lakers.
Two of their official colors are purple and gold, so I did a gold mani with purple tips, and I loved the result! I might even keep this mani on until next week :)
First, for the gold base, I used 2-3 layers of Sephora by OPI Rumba Romance. I really like this nail polish, it went on so smooth, and there are so many different shades of it in person. I think you can be able to see some of the shades in the pictures.

Then, I did purple tips using scotch tape and NYC Purple Pizzazz Frost.

This one's my favorite picture :p

30 Day NBA Challenge Intro.

Hi guys,
JenBunni from "The Exotic Lacquer" here and rmcandlelight from "Nails Beautiqued" over here decided to do a challenge for 30 days straight based on NBA basketball teams. This isn't specifically for nail art, but you just have to capture the essence of each team. I thought this was an actually really cool idea, and I was so excited when I found out about it, lol.
I made the picture as big as I could, so you could see the names of the teams, if that helps.
At least 2 of the team's official colors must be used.
OK, now I know I won't be able to do this everyday, because of my time limit, but my goal is to have each one of the teams done. Good luck with this one! :)

Cherry Blossoms?

So the other day, I painted my nails a light, minty green color. It reminded me of the Arizona Iced Tea Green Tea can, and I definitely wanted to do a design on my nails like that. :)

So as I was rummaging through my nail polishes to find my brown, I realized I threw it away a long time ago because it dried up. :( I did improvise, though, and this is what I came up with:
I used Revlon Top Speed fast-drying nail polish in Jaded. This nail polish was a good investment. Application was so smooth and this is only 2 coats.

Then, I used China Glaze "Don't Touch My Tiara" to stamp on a branch design on my ring fingers. If I had more time, I would have probably done this on all of my nails, but I really like how this came out and I like the color combo.

Hopefully one day I'll try an Arizona green tea mani :)

Sally Hansen Color Quick--Red Chrome (swatch)

I absolutely LOVE these things! They are so convenient when you're in a hurry and just want some color on your nails! Also, they are only $1.00! You HAVE to try out these Sally Hansen Color Quick fast dry nail pens!!! I do have to say, there are some bad things about these, too.
The color of this one is Red Chrome. When I used it on my nails, it was more of a pink-ish color.

Also, the brush is very thick, and it leaves streaks on your nails, so I recommend two or three coats.

Other than that, these things are amazing and I am so happy I bought one of each color. :)

Some Zebra Stamping

Hey guys :)
So for this one I just decided do do some zebra stamping on a hot pink polish.
I went to Sally's beauty supply to buy a new black nail polish, because all the ones I have really aren't that good for stamping, and I found an Orly on sale. It came with a cute little filer with lace on the back too! :) So, I thought it was perfect, and I bought it. When I got in the car and was on may way home, I realized it was a deep navy blue, but I thought I'd try it on my nails anyway. So here's what I got:

I did a base coat and then used NYC (New York Colors) Fuchsia Shock Creme on all of my nails. After that, I added a top coat to let it dry faster.

Then, using Orly Le Chateau, I stamped some zebra print. I wish this color would have been darker than what came out on my nails. Hope you guys like it though! :)
