NEW - Caviar Nails!!! (picture-heavy)

Welcoming the newest nail trend around, caviar nails!
What it is:
A two-step revolutionary nail art kit that inspires head-turning results.

What it does:
Created in London, this one-of-a-kind nail art innovation brings avant-garde catwalk nail styling to your fingertips. Featuring pearlescent beads for a 3-D effect, this kit includes everything you need to express yourself with your hands and become an instant nail connoisseur.

It comes in different colors-
Rainbow, Mother of Pearl, Black Pearls
When I first saw this at the Sephora in New York City, I had to get them. These caviar nails look so cute and looks like you have little sprinkles on your nails! They come in kits - one pot of caviar pearls and one pot of polish, to go with the caviar pearls.

The one I got is Rainbow -
The base is ciate Strawberry Milkshake, an opaque pale pink, of which I used 1 coat.
I painted all of my nails this pink, and let dry. Some people put the caviar on all their nails, but I only wanted it as an accent. I put another coat on my ring finger and before it dried, I poured the caviar pearls on it through the funnel that comes with the kit. Then, add a drop of top coat over it.
This is what it's supposed to look like:

So cute, right?! I love how it looks. Mine stayed on for like three days and then the caviar started chipping off.

I think that it also looks good after all the pearls fall off, too! They leave indentations and some color behind.

I like how each dent has a color from the pearl that was there. I really like this idea, and I hope you can try it out too! :)

A Basic French Manicure - with gel nail polish!

I love French manicures. They are so classy and go with
e v e r y t h i n g. If I could have a French manicure everyday, I would, but it takes a lot of concentration to make it look nice. For this, I used gel nail polish. This manicure was supposed to stay on for 2 weeks without chipping. This stayed on for 5 weeks. 5 WEEKS! Without chipping! I was soo happy with the results.
Don't mind the little scab on my index finger, I cut it when I was grooming my cuticles! :p

So good.
I used 2 coats of Harmony gelish Gel Nail Polish #01422 Little Princess for the base. For the white tips, I used one coat of Harmony gelish Gel Nail Polish #01323 Sleek White. I just brushed it on the tips of my nails. This was a really good investment, and I was so happy with the results.

My favorite color is....PURPLE! (picture-heavy)

Okay, so, my favorite color is purple. I absolutely love the color purple and I always have (and NOT just because it's also the favorite color of Justin Bieber and Liam Payne ♥ ). Anyhow, I was at my cousin's house and we were all painting nails and I used some of her nail supplies to do this mani. I used Sally Hansen hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color #4860-08 Deep Purple, which I love. I think it was only 2 coats.

Then, I found these cute little nail stickers in my cousin's nail supply box. There were all these cute little butterflies and flowers. They are Broadway Nails Fashion Diva nail stickers.

I used a butterfly sticker to put on my ring finger as an accent. So cute!

Sorry for so many pictures! I just really couldn't get the right shot. Hope you like this one! :)

30 Day NBA Challenge Day #4-LA Clippers

For day 4 of the NBA challenge, the team is the Los Angeles Clippers.
Official team colors: Red, Royal Blue, White (I just used red and blue.)
Result:

I really, really liked this one! I don't know why, but I just really liked how it looked. For the base coat, I used two coats of Wet N Wild #414A Red Red, which, alone, looks really good.

Then, after letting that dry, I took out my stamping kit and found this linear design I liked. I used Wet N Wild #445DP Sapphire Blue to stamp the design on my ring fingers.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

30 Day NBA Challenge Day #3-San Antonio Spurs

Today, day 3 of the 30 day basketball challenge, is the San Antonio Spurs.
Official team colors: Black, Silver, White.
The result:

The first step I did was really unnecessary and just a waste of my time. I painted a coat of NYC #134 French White Tip. I thought it would need it because the silver might have been transparent, but the silver was really good and didn't need any base coat in my opinion.

Then I painted 1 coat of Jordana #610 Sassy Silver over the white.

After the silver dried, I took out my stamping kit and found something that kind of looked like a spur. I used Wet N Wild #424A Black Creme to stamp a "spur" on my accent nail, the ring finger.

Hope you like it & thanks for looking :)

30 Day NBA Challenge Day #2-OKC Thunder

Finally got back to my blog, and for Day 2 of the 30 basketball challenge, it's the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Official team colors: Blue, Thunder Red (Orange), Yellow, Dark Blue, White
Here's the result:

It's like a patchwork mani. For the colors I used "Blue", "Thunder Red", and "White".

For the base, I used one coat of NYC Times Square Tangerine Creme.

Make sure it is almost completely dry before the next step.

Using scotch tape (after taking away some of the stickiness), I taped off the bottom corner, and painted over the open area with NYC French White Tip.

Before the white gets a chance to dry, remove the tape. If you don't, some nail polish might come off with the tape.

Then, do the same thing with the tape and paint over with NYC Empire State Blue. I love this color and I loved the result.

Thanks for looking, and hope you like it as much
 as I did :)

Update

Okay, well I've just logged onto my blog, and the last time I posted was 15 March 2012. It's 27 June! I am really so sorry everyone, it's just that I was busy with the holidays and then, I had surgery on my leg. I was able to do my nails a few times along the way, but I haven't had a chance to post them on here. Last week, I wanted to post some cute manis, but when I put the camera card into my laptop to upload the pictures, it wouldn't work. So until I can get to my friend's house (shoutout to Beverly Z Karam!) to upload them, I won't be posting any manis. :(

So much for that 30 Day NBA challenge. Congrats to the Miami Heat, by the way, for winning in the Finals (even thought I wanted OKC). . . :p
